The creator of Canad'As, who comes from a career in the airline sector, was able to see the problems of comfort, and sometimes even health, caused by poor quality shoes worn on a daily basis. During her career in the airline sector, Maria Fernandes, the creator of Canad'As, was able to see the negative consequences of high heels on the health of the feet and joints. All the hostesses complained of having sore feet and backs. One day her feet hurt so much that she had to discreetly go barefoot while boarding a flight, the pain was so unbearable. It was the turning point for her! Originally from a region near Porto and from a family of shoe makers. She decided that she had to do something to resolve this problem and make the daily lives of the hostesses more comfortable by offering them quality shoes.
